I was honored to receive The Thora Jensen Memorial Award for Oil Painting at the 89th Annual Juried Exhibition of the Hudson Valley Art Association. My painting Vista del Rancho earned this cash award in a show featuring 70 other highly accomplished artists working in realism. The Exhibition is on view through June 2nd in the beautiful gallery of the Lyme Art Association at 90 Lyme St., Old Lyme, CT.

I have roughed-in the subject with a thin layer of transparent oil paint. Next I will begin to detail it up with successive layers of opaque and transparent color.

New Britain Museum of American Art
I’m so honored to be a part of Nor’Easter the 51st Annual Juried Exhibition. Charlie’s Auto Repair, oil on linen, 24 x 24, 2020, will be on view for three more days. The show closes on Sunday, August 29, 2021. This is a top notch show in a gem of a museum.

New Britain Museum of American Art, Nor'Easter 51st Annual Juried Exhibition
I am honored that my painting Charlie’s Repair Service, oil, 24 x 24, 2020, has been selected by Juror Cristina Tafuri to be part of this exhibition, which will be on view from August 12 - August 29, 2021. The museum’s website describes the show as “ New Britain Museum of American Art’s opportunity to expose contemporary visual arts to a wide audience. This prominent showcase in the Northeast region highlights the exceptional work of emerging and established artists in all media.”
